Once Upon A Dream

Have U people watch da classic Sleeping Beauty??

I still remember dat I used to watch da movie when I was a little gurl... I rili like da part when Princess Aurora sang da song "Once Upon A Dream".

Da Story goes like dis....:

A long time ago there were a king and his queen who were unhappy because they were childless. But it happened that once when the queen was bathing, a frog crept out of the water on to the land, and said to her, "Your wish shall be fulfilled, before a year has gone by, you shall have a daughter."

sleeping beautyWhat the frog had said came true, and the queen had a little girl who was so pretty that the king could not contain himself for joy, and ordered a great feast. He invited not only his kindred, friends and acquaintances, but also the wise women, in order that they might be kind and well disposed towards the child. There were thirteen of them in his kingdom, but, as he had only twelve golden plates for them to eat out of, one of them had to be left at home.

The feast was held with all manner of splendor and when it came to an end the wise women bestowed their magic gifts upon the baby - one gave virtue, another beauty, a third riches, and so on with everything in the world that one can wish for.

When eleven of them had made their promises, suddenly the thirteenth came in. She wished to avenge herself for not having been invited, and without greeting, or even looking at anyone, she cried with a loud voice, "The king's daughter shall in her fifteenth year prick herself with a spindle, and fall down dead." And, without saying a word more, she turned round and left the room.

They were all shocked, but the twelfth, whose good wish still remained unspoken, came forward, and as she could not undo the evil sentence, but only soften it, she said, it shall not be death, but a deep sleep of a hundred years, into which the princess shall fall.

The king, who would fain keep his dear child from the misfortune, gave orders that every spindle in the whole kingdom should be burnt. Meanwhile the gifts of the wise women were plenteously fulfilled on the young girl, for she was so beautiful, modest, good-natured, and wise, that everyone who saw her was bound to love her.

It happened that on the very day when she was fifteen years old, the king and queen were not at home, and the maiden was left in the palace quite alone. So she went round into all sorts of places, looked into rooms and bed-chambers just as she liked, and at last came to an old tower. She climbed up the narrow winding staircase, and reached a little door. A rusty key was in the lock, and when she turned it the door sprang open, and there in a little room sat an old woman with a spindle, busily spinning her flax.

"Good day, old mother," said the king's daughter, "what are you doing there?"

"I am spinning," said the old woman, and nodded her head.

"What sort of thing is that, that rattles round so merrily," said the girl, and she took the spindle and wanted to spin too. But scarcely had she touched the spindle when the magic decree was fulfilled, and she pricked her finger with it.

And, in the very moment when she felt the prick, she fell down upon the bed that stood there, and lay in a deep sleep. And this sleep extended over the whole palace, the king and queen who had just come home, and had entered the great hall, began to go to sleep, and the whole of the court with them. The horses, too, went to sleep in the stable, the dogs in the yard, the pigeons upon the roof, the flies on the wall, even the fire that was flaming on the hearth became quiet and slept, the roast meat left off frizzling, and the cook, who was just going to pull the hair of the scullery boy, because he had forgotten something, let him go, and went to sleep. And the wind fell, and on the trees before the castle not a leaf moved again.

But round about the castle there began to grow a hedge of thorns, which every year became higher, and at last grew close up round the castle and all over it, so that there was nothing of it to be seen, not even the flag upon the roof. But the story of the beautiful sleeping Briar Rose, for so the princess was named, went about the country, so that from time to time kings' sons came and tried to get through the thorny hedge into the castle. But they found it impossible, for the thorns held fast together, as if they had hands, and the youths were caught in them, could not get loose again, and died a miserable death.

After long, long years a king's son came again to that country, and heard an old man talking about the thorn hedge, and that a castle was said to stand behind it in which a wonderfully beautiful princess, named Briar Rose, had been asleep for a hundred years, and that the king and queen and the whole court were asleep likewise. He had heard, too, from his grandfather, that many kings, sons had already come, and had tried to get through the thorny hedge, but they had remained sticking fast in it, and had died a pitiful death.

Then the youth said, "I am not afraid, I will go and see the beautiful Briar Rose." The good old man might dissuade him as he would, he did not listen to his words.

But by this time the hundred years had just passed, and the day had come when Briar Rose was to awake again. When the king's son came near to the thorn hedge, it was nothing but large and beautiful flowers, which parted from each other of their own accord, and let him pass unhurt, then they closed again behind him like a hedge. In the castle yard he saw the horses and the spotted hounds lying asleep, on the roof sat the pigeons with their heads under their wings. And when he entered the house, the flies were asleep upon the wall, the cook in the kitchen was still holding out his hand to seize the boy, and the maid was sitting by the black hen which she was going to pluck.

He went on farther, and in the great hall he saw the whole of the court lying asleep, and up by the throne lay the king and queen. Then he went on still farther, and all was so quiet that a breath could be heard, and at last he came to the tower, and opened the door into the little room where Briar Rose was sleeping.

There she lay, so beautiful that he could not turn his eyes away, and he stooped down and gave her a kiss. But as soon as he kissed her, Briar Rose opened her eyes and awoke, and looked at him quite sweetly.

Then they went down together, and the king awoke, and the queen, and the whole court, and looked at each other in great astonishment. And the horses in the courtyard stood up and shook themselves, the hounds jumped up and wagged their tails, the pigeons upon the roof pulled out their heads from under their wings, looked round, and flew into the open country, the flies on the wall crept again, the fire in the kitchen burned up and flickered and cooked the meat, the joint began to turn and sizzle again, and the cook gave the boy such a box on the ear that he screamed, and the maid finished plucking the fowl.

And then the marriage of the king's son with Briar Rose was celebrated with all splendor, and they lived contented to the end of their days.

Teachers in The Rural Areas

It's rili sad to hear dat our frens in rural areas faced da problem of insufficient English teachers. Not a new situation to arise. Last time when da Government decided to use English Language in Science and Maths subjects these are da reasons why it will be difficult to implement it. Lack of English teacher to teach i da rural areas need to to be look as a serious matter.

I watched da news last time and da reporter reported dat da teacher in da rural areas sometimes will have food supply problem as they only will go to da nearest town every 3months to buy foods and other basic necessities. The main problem is road and transportation. Sabah and Sarawak still being left behind when it come to such facilities but we can see there are on-going development for it.

Young teachers will have no problem to be sent in any rural areas but, da government need to consider their needs for a better facilities such as house, equipment and tools to teach etc. This profession nowadays has gained new popularity although most people tend to put it as da last choices to be selected. There are numbers of incentive and programs announced by da government  to improved da rural areas schools and teachers environment so that da learning and teaching process will goes as planned.

p/s: Respect all da rural teachers out there... :)

Shake It Off

Broke-up can be 1 of da situation dat every1 need to face when it comes to relationship. Enjoying your partner company in relationship is 1 of da reason why we decided to stay in da relationship. But things will not always sweet in love...there will be ups and downs of it.

But when da break up "picture"arrived lovers need to be ready for any circumstances, especially for those to be dumped. The one who being dumped need to stay real in any conditions. I also believe, ending a relationship is da hardest thing to do.

People will tend to ask da question on how to deal with it....Aiseh, for those who rili think dat this is not da ending point to in relationship, they tend to SHAKE IT OFF..... Yes, just Shake it off. Break up is not da end of da world. I personally found dat girls tend to Cry over a split milk. OMG...Ladies don't do dis..I know it's hard to accept but you need to carry on with your life. What's happened is happend. Is no use to love some1 who doesn't love you any more. Keep your love for those who can appreciate it and love you da most.

To get better it is important to Shake it off, just let it go, move on with your life. Move on with your life is da most important event in ur life...along da way..you might found somebody who are fate for U....

The point here those who faced da situation need to love themselves and not trying to do anything in the end of the day will caused another problems.

Cry over it will be acceptable, but don't loss control, you da 1 who need to control da situation and not the other way around. Most of da time they said da girls will cry hard, but boys you also human being who is profoundly hurt and feel sad. Boys are not excluded to cry, cry if you need to.

Do not blame yourself if the relationship needs to end. It’s not your fault, relationships are complicated and most people go through rough times when it comes to relationships. If you start to blame yourself, you will get depressed and even lonelier. Think of the good qualities you have and be in the company of your friends who will always remind you of your good qualities.

While you built how to cope with da situation, this is also the time to enjoy and do things you want to do. You may discover new things or rediscover yourself. Give yourself time to heal and think things over.

JAMIE SCOTT – WHEN WILL I SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN

Here I Am, everyday
Since you said, you’d come again,
But it’s not fair, cos’ you’re not here,
I wait in vain, but nothing has challanged,
I’m a flower, soaking in the Rain,
If I could wish one thing, I’d hear you call my name,

Chorus
So when will I see your face again,
When will you touch my life again (ohh yeah),
When will I breathe you in again
I think I love you …will I see your face again,

Little thing, like the rain coming,
She looked at me a certain kind of way,
Tell me girl, where are you now,
‘Cos I don’t know how much longer I can wait,
I’m a dreamer, waiting for the sun,
When you’re coming in, I know my life’s begun,

Tell me girl…
When will I see your face again (ohh yeaaah),
When will you touch my life again (ummm um),
When will I breathe you in again,
I think I love you, will I see your face again,
You know that all my life I’ve been waiting,
Waiting for some, someone like you to love me,
You can’t come by like an angel, into my life,
And then fly away, fly away,

Oh honey, cos I, Uh baby, ba ba doo yeah, oh ooh,
Sing, I’ve only seen youuu, oh, I said, uh huh, I said I said, yeah (woo)
When will I see your face again (I wanna see you once in my life),
When will you touch my life again, (wanna see you twice in my life),

When Will I Breathe You In Again (ohhh),
I think I love you, will I see your face again,
I said, see bap pa da doo ba ba

Bap ba do yeach, that’s what we do yeaahhh
When will I see your face again my friend,
Oh yeach, I think you gotta let me know yeah,
Oh yeah

Presentation

I personally enjoy my time during presentation in ma class. Some people will called it a big TROUBLE to be da chosen one to do it. Different people will have slightly different point of view about speaking in front of da class.

Anxious, Nervous and even Scare will be part of da way to do presentation for those who dislike it. Well seriously speak it's normal situation, I also used to HATE dis part of learning process. But when I thinked about it, I just lack of courage to do it. Lack of information about da topic could be one of da reason. If da presenter had a deep understanding about da topic to be presented, he/ she will have no problems to present it to others. Language will be da second element, but as long as people can understand what you trying to say it should be good enough. To use a bombastic is ok but you need to consider da audience as well. Who are da audience? Can they rili understand your bombastic English language? To reach your target group so that they can gained something from da presentation da presenter need to know da audience english level. Or da presenter will siok sendiri with da bombastic language.

Before I stand for my presentation I'll make sure dat I have a well information about the matter, so that I'll not dependent to my handouts all da way. I prefer to share what I've understand about it, so dat my fellow frens can grab something else not from da books. Plus they can read it by themselves. I will try my best to make my presentation as simple as possible, less wordings will before sure. For me personally, presentation is not da time for me to read it out for my frens...but to share what da important thing in dat topic. Contact with my audience will be da part dat I like da most. As I love talking, communicating with my fellow frens in front of da class will be da time I'm counting for. Btw, don't expect me to just stand still there, I will make sure dat all eyes on me at that moment...aiseh..tambirang tul...but it's true..believe me. .

In person, in rili believe in body language while presenting my topics. Here are somethings dat I want to share with you people;

1.) Voice, need to make sure dat people in da room can hear you clearly.

2.) We as da speaker need to respond Naturally to wat we Think, Feel and Say

3.) Feel free to Show, express or direct through movement. Make it convincing enough.

4.) While making a movement, make sure dat is smooth and well-timed

5.) Facial Expressions will help too.

6.) This is wat I like, Eye Contact; as it provide critical non-verbal elements in our presentation. I think eyes are da most powerful tool in communication.

7.) Ready with da material. As da speaker we need to know da topic well before we can talk about it with others. Lack of information will caused another TROUBLE, and show da audience dat speakers not ready.

SwEet November

I've already posted about sweet dream...now Sweet November. Yeap...yeap.... da movie... Dis movie released in 2001, dat time I'm in Form 4, aiseh. Since it's November, let's us watch it again.

Ok since it's been 8 years, I think it will  be ok if I talked a lil bit about da movie, for those who never watch it hope afterwords you guys will go any search 4 it.

Da actor is my super duper favorite guy in silver- screen; Keanu Reeves played Nelson Moss together with Charlize Theron as Sara Deever.

Here Keanu played a role as a committed businessman where in da other hand, Sara was a lady who asked him to spent a month with her, and he accepted da offer (aiseh mcm chapter dlm Contract Law pula ada offer2). So he became da November man in her life...ask for more???go watch it by yourself .

It's rili a good and light movie to be watch...since it's holidays take dis opportunity to watch as many movies as possible.. da new one or da old movies...I'm sure we will learn sumting from it.

Origin of our Government

Alright since my background from Government Administration, today I'll like to share about da basic form of government in Malaysia.

In Malaysia our government headed by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong or the Mornarch. Constitutional Monarch is how our government being run or manage. There are three important organs in our government; 1.) The Judiciary 2.) The Executive and 3.) The Legislative. These three bodies play such a huge responsibilities in the nation development.

Anything which will involved the administration of justice , the Judiciary will have lot's of control or power over it. In Malaysia there are similarity with the English Legal System or the common law. Here the Judiciary became the guardian of the rights of man and will protects these rights from all possibilities of individual and public  invasion. The most important function of the Judiciary is to investigate and determine facts. The functions of da courts is to determine facts according to da recognized procedures. Judge then will be looked as da interpreter of law. As in Britain, our Judicial also accept da term of "Judge-made law".

In Malaysia da Chief Executive is our beloved Prime Minister, Datuk Sri Najib Razak and da Jemaah Menteri part of da Executive at da same time. All of da members of da Cabinet need to represent and won da Election to entitle them to hold a government post. General Election will be held every 5 year...and any By-election if there any possible reason such as da death of da current holder, etc. Executive will also be part of the program in da nation well development.

Lastly, Legislature. In Malaysia it is where our Parliament sit. Inside our Parliament we had 2 different chambers or branches. 1. Dewan Rakyat (da Lower House) 2. Dewan Negara (Upper House). Any Bills to pass will need to start from the lower house and will end up at da upper house as an Act of Parliament.

These three will need one another, but da Judiciary will stand alone. Judiciary cannot received any influence in da very decision, but when it happen da credibility of da body will be questions. The judiciary also acting as a " watch dog" for both Executive and Legislative. One of it is to ensure both bodies will spent da governments fund efficiently for da well development of da people and da nation.

Is it Any Wonder?! (Pt. 1)

Alright...after my last paper, now I got plenty of time 4 my blog....(aiseh mcm ada readers pula..huhuhu). Btw in dis post i want to share about da common situation happend in our culture, society or social group, whatever you named it, you get it... Officially dis will be my longest post so far.

Have you ever come in the situations.....
1. Guys can go out nite time...no problem at all. But if people saw girls somewhere during nite time people start saying," What's wrong with dis people?" Sabahan will say;" Napala ni perempuan bejalan lg, ni mesti tia kana ajar mama bapa ni"

2.When it come to cigarette...well of coz da guys can smoke...again no problem....Ladies smoke, oh God people throw a nasty looked at them...

3. When it come to dressing... they said girls in sexy dress caused the rape case increases.... ermm...I'll discuss dis as we go

4. Engagement... if da girl engaged, that it  another rules imposed on her.... The term "Darah Manis", the old folks will say...any where you go you need to bring someone or your family members to be with....whatever

Shall we start? Ok, First of all, why da girls cannot go out nite time? For many years before such question popped-up  the society already get used to keep da daughters inside da house no matter day or nite time. Male or da guys will be let freely outside the house even its a nite time. The old folks put nite as the time where all 'bad' activities will happend. And for ladies only a certain types of "ladies" will be out there during nite time...in Bahasa said ' Kupu2 mlm'. That what da old thoughts...but now...as ladies are more 'educated' and hold important post in organizations, lots of meeting will be carried out until nite time... Shall I said private Executives often experienced it... Therefore there is no such thing in the present time that da ladies cannot go out... da point is da purpose or da intention to go out need to be verify first... in my point of view there is nothing wrong to go out nite time.

Then, cigarette. I personally against it as it bad and will harm da health conditions. Since da old lady @ kampung also smoke...so why cannot young ladies start early...free will what?! Her body her choice. I really hate to look at a situation when da girls smoke and people around started give a wired looked. Why? PorkE? Q?... These kind of people need not to busy about others action. Who are U to judge her? Let her be what she imagine and wish.

Thirdly...to concluded da way da ladies dress as one of da factors dat leads to an increased in the rape cases today...I strongly dis agree. For me the guys need to have sort of temptation control here. In my point of view, if da guys can have some control over themselves, even if they saw a girl with hot dress...they would not have any intention to go beyond da boundaries. To look at fine I guess...its natural when there is a girl walking on da street of coz guys eyes will look at them. Plus we cannot asked the non-muslim ladies to wear what Islam imposed over the muslim ladies...No matter how strong the temptations are rape case can be reduce if da guys can control themselves.

Lastly...to be engaged not mean that da girls life will meet da end of da road...To keep da engagement relations is good...but is it applicable to restrict da lady activities.?she want to go out with frens which included da guys... If a lady who is engaged and some1 saw her with some other man..you know what? People will say dat da lady not rili committed with da engagement. AiyoOo...wake-up people...even married couple are not excluded to get divorced. Term "darah manis" not applicable in today's conditions. Who's of ur family members will have time to accompany you wherever you want to go? To go out there alone with the title some1 fiance will be OK if that person know her/his limits. They should know that their had been Reserved in advance. Then no matter how far you might go you should know who are you in others eyes.

Seriously speak, this is what I can express from the situations happened around me, dis is truly my point of view towards it. No intention to condemn or talk bad about my own society. All we need here is understanding and make our people to be aware and spent time to listen, observed  + learning.

Yesterday

Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday,
Love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

New Begining

Another chapter ended last Sunday (8th Nov. 2009), yet all of us AMD6 still looking forward for another chapter to start

So far we've learn that knowledge is on the top of everything, that we can see where we are without it. For the next 5 or 10 years ahead we will be somebody, but the question is , who is that buddy?

Being a student we carry so much dreams and hopes on the shoulders. Family, the one you love and even our desires. Will us get what we wish? To dream is one thing, to make it real is yet another thing to manage

But somehow somewhere "student" will do their very best to make it real. Along the way, lots of smile and laughter will be there. Supports from the people U love will help to keep u in the positive conditions.
